          Goodbye, Tête à Tête!

          Picture
Gutter Press Productions would like to thank our cast and crew for two fantastic shows at the Tête à Tête Opera Festival, 2010. Audience feedback indicated the shows were very well received and we were delighted to get a four-star review in Pink Paper, available here. The reviewer celebrated the music, commenting: ‘Fergal O’ Mahony’s overture is truly West End worthy’ and the ‘music is duly supported by strong vocal performances from all the cast, notably Paul Sheehan as Fleet Street perv Tony, and Antony Hansen and Laura Wickham as star-crossed lovers Fred and Daisy.’

The reviewer also compliments the libretto, observing that ‘James Richards’ writing is sharp, with many puns and one-liners worthy of a chuckle'. The reviewer expresses her wish ‘to see more from this creative team in the future.’ A huge congratulations! to everyone.

We are waiting for the show DVD to arrive with bated breath. As soon as it hits the doormat, we’ll have it up on the ‘Video’ section of the site. Watch this space…

Finally, a big thanks to Bill Bankes-Jones and all the Tête à Tête staff. See you next year!
